My Top 5 Tips for Vocal Health

from the old blog Sep 29, 2016

It’s officially fall! The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are turning, and we can buy ourselves a pumpkin spice latte.

When you consider the weather change and the cold season that usually accompanies it, plus add in the fact that this is the busiest time of year for many people, it’s clear to see that it’s also a really important time to take care of your vocal health. So in honor of the season change and to kick off the fall round of my online course How Your Voice Works, I’ll be hosting a free webinar on Monday October 12th called “Protect Your Vocal Cords.” In this webinar we’ll talk about the anatomy of the vocal cords and the larynx (it’s super cool!), how the vocal cords are powered by airflow (not muscular effort), and how to take better care of your voice during your speaking or singing routine and especially when you get sick.

As a free preview of what we’re going to be talking about, I wanted to take the opportunity today to release a very special video which features my “Top 5 Tips for Vocal Health.” This video was a special gift for backers during my Kickstarter campaign last year, and is available in the bonus section of How Your Voice Works. However I’m releasing it to the public today because these are things I want everyone to know! Have a watch:

This can get you started on your fall vocal health routine, and I’ll share lots more during the free webinar on October 10th!
