And yet every day you shut down your throat chakra and silence your voice. Someone asks, “How are you?” and you default to “Fine!” or “Good.”
But you’re not fine, are you?
You’re not “fine” silencing yourself in an argument when you want to speak your truth.
You’re not “fine” feeling humiliated and insecure during a work presentation.
You’re not “fine” hearing your voice come out weak and shaky instead of strong and clear when you perform.
It’s time to raise your voice, my friend.
It’s time to speak your truth.
And we’re here to help you.
Live, 4x/weekly 20-minute group sessions with guided exercises to help you feel more aligned and released. 💥
During this monthly hour-long session, we discuss and practice the voice body connection process together. You can bravely volunteer to share a story about a situation in your life where you’re having difficulty speaking up, and Elissa and the group will give you feedback. 👫
Sit in with Elissa as she records the solo themed episode for the coming month. Afterwards, you’ll get to share your thoughts and questions off the air. 🎙
Once a month, we gather together to sing, chant, and enjoy our voices. Members of the community are invited to share a song, a poem, or another piece of expression. 🎶
You also get exclusive access to behind-the-scenes video greetings each podcast guest.
That's right! Community members get a 10% discount on all live and pre-recorded Voice Body Connection courses... up to a $150 discount!

One of my favorite parts of the community is our voice and movement warm ups. Since I’ve been attending, I’ve been more coordinated, calmer, and less stressed. Some of the most important exercises for me have been massaging around my larynx and my gut - that’s created huge transformation. I can see that my body carries a lot of stress, and now I have support to let it go.
Since coming to the Voice Body Connection sessions, my emotion well being has been the best it’s been in a long time. I have a background in theatre, so initially I showed up to keep up my technique. And while I do indeed feel more alive in my voice and body, the transformation I’ve experience goes so much deeper. I feel more aligned in my energy and spirit too. For instance, during a recent coaching session we talked about shifting to an abundance mindset. That idea has changed my life. Internally, I’m calmer and more centered. And externally I’m able to keep habits and make challenging choices with grace. I’m so grateful to be here.
My understanding of my voice, my body, and my mind (and how all three are interrelated) has deepened exponentially in this space. I had no idea just how much pain and trauma I was holding on to, or how understanding and releasing that pain would free my voice and heart. What we are doing here is so much more than physical - it’s soul work! I literally feel like I can breathe again, I can sing again, my chronic pain and anxiety have faded away, and I’m at last coming home to myself, and to my voice.
Within my three sessions in the Community, I could already feel a major change both physically and mentally. My body feels relaxed and the tightness that I felt in my shoulders is no longer there. The tension and anxiety that I brought to my first session, have now been replaced by a feeling of peace and calmness. I’m so grateful to have this supportive space where I can keep showing up.
Every time I leave a warm up I feel more inspired and connected. Thank you, Elissa, for showing up with an open heart and in such a natural and sincere way.

I started attending voice body connection sessions as part of a personal journey in healing from a voice disorder. I’ve learned so much about various connections between my whole body and my voice, and how to use my body to start unlocking the mental barriers that got me to this place. I will keep coming back!
Our warm-up sessions are a creative exploration in body, mind and voice unlike anything I’ve worked with before. Elissa brings together an eclectic knowledge of our physical systems with a joyful presence of being. Her teaching has brought me many insights that have spurred me along on my own path of discovery and healing.
I believe being in close touch with heartfelt people, with truthful people, is so valuable for our spiritual development. Being interconnected in a community of people is so important for our well-being. I can tell that Elissa’s aim in leading this group is to ultimately help us have a better life. This soul-deep human “church” encourages me to live a more physically, mentally, and spiritually full life.
This has been a great space to get to know myself better in a community where there’s acceptance instead of judgment. We’re all going through different huge things in our lives, and I get to be honest about that and talk about it in here.
It's been so powerful to have a space with people looking to integrate. So much of vocal coaching often is about the end product rather than the input. The real transformation for me in here has been looking at the cellular level and what’s coming up from within. How can I create resonance in my voice in a community, in my work, and at large? In my experience what makes Elissa and this Community extremely unique is the trans-disciplinary approach. We integrate psychology, biology, physiology all in one conversation. I could go on and on, but it’s a privilege to be a part of this community.
I came to a group coaching session one day blocked about reaching out to a friend’s family after her passing. I hadn’t seen this friend for decades but my attachment was still strong. In sharing with Elissa and the community, I realized that I wasn’t able to offer comfort yet because I was still uncomfortable. I felt ashamed and embarrassed to communicate. Elissa suggested I write a letter of comfort to myself first. I did, and the letter I wrote released so much grief that I was able to communicate with freedom. Not only that, I was able to move through deep historical grief that I’ve been trying to feel for a long time. The work we do in here is changing my life.
Yes. Our members are on six continents (we still need a member representing Antarctica! 😄), so we come together online. We mostly meet using Zoom, but we do also have an optional facebook group.
Both! What we practice here is using our full voice - all aspects of it. You do not need to be a singer to be in this group, though I encourage you to come to the Community Concerts and participate in the sing-a-longs anyway. And if you are a singer but want to expand your vocal development in terms of speech and communication, then you're in the right place for that too!
During the voice and movement warm ups (4x/week), we start by checking in with how our bodies feel. Based on the collective experience among the group, we do a voice and movement practice. And then at the end we check in with ourselves and each other using the Voice Body Connection process. You'll leave 20 minutes later feeling better than when we started. And warm ups are not recorded, so you can feel free to let loose and be free.
We use the Voice Body Connection process to help understand how to find your voice and speak your truth in a challenging situation in your life. You can volunteer for coaching with Elissa, and she'll offer feedback on how to navigate the situation. Two to three people get to share each month.
The reality is that it's impossible to guarantee a safe space. But we are absolutely committed to making the community a contained, supportive, and compassionate space. To that end, we ask all members to observe the Voice Body Connection Community agreements:
No problem. Many of us have busy schedules, or live in a part of the world where the time difference is challenging. (We've done our best to account for that in the schedule!) Our 4x/weekly warm ups are not recorded, so you've got to show up live to experience those. But everything else is recorded and posted in our Community portal. So you'll have recorded access to the group coaching sessions, the Community Concerts, the live recordings of the podcast, and the behind-the-scenes videos. Plus you can interact in our facebook group anytime.
If you're feeling drawn to join us, you're a good fit! We are open to all who want to work on their embodiment and expression. You do not need to be a singer. You do not need to be an entrepreneur who records videos. Come as you are. We are diverse group as far as geography, age, profession, race, gender, etc. So if you want to work on having a clear, powerful voice, you are welcome here.
This is absolutely a big part of our warm ups, so if tension release is a focus for you attend those as much as you can. If you want more in-depth, specific support for your vocal health, consider enrolling in the Release Your Voice class.
